This month, I dabbled in photography again, had my work in a neighborhood show, and traveled to New Orleans! But first....
I will be selling some prints and originals at this skate contest at Studio Skate Supply! (address is on the flyer over yonder) Come hang out and watch some skating as well. I’m planning on having the prints be super duper cheap ($3 for one, three for $5 vibes). You can even haggle with me if you want. I just negotiated with a man in New Orleans for a cheap bracelet so if $3 is too much for you let’s get into it. I’ll be there from like 11:30 - 4! What ever is left over, ill put up in this newsletter next month and you can buy some.

Enjoy some poor quality iphone photos of my trip. I loved seeing all of the architecture. These people sure know how to pick a paint color!! I think we could save the suburbs if we just painted every house a unique color.

I had three pieces in an art show in my neighborhood. One was in a gallery which was pretty cool to see. The other two were in a gym and it kind of felt like a highschool art show. It was very cool to see how many creative people live in my neighborhood.

For work, I just finished up all of the illustrations for the Summer Reading Program. My coworker wrote an article about it all for KC Studio and now I am so famous I can’t walk outside without people following me on the street. You can see more of the illustrations here! With collaboration from my coworker Alex, we made stickers, bookmarks, an activity booklet, a pint glass, tote bags, tshirts, two different 4ft displays (that people can color on!) coloring pages, the website, some templates for the library staff.. the list goes on i’m sure. It’s been a lot of work but I love how it all came together.

Right now, photography is getting me super excited. I always have really specific ideas for photos, but I struggle to figure out cameras to get the photo I am wanting. I have still not 100% figured out photography, but here are some recent photos I took that I really like!!
